Project Description

Boge & Boge (1980) Ltd. was contacted to provide structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering services for the Dauphin Office & Pharmacy project with Manitoba Metis Federation. (MMF).

Structural: Preliminary and final structural design for the building foundations and superstructure. Foundations were designed based on the geotechnical recommendations. Prepared structural design sketches for initial client review and structural working drawings for construction. All specifications were provided on drawings. Coordinated mechanical and electrical with structural. Review of shop drawings for the reinforcing steel, structural steel and other structural components. Performed visual site reviews of the structural work in progress. Issued engineer sealed report pertaining to the conformance of the work to the IFC drawings indicating satisfactory conformance to us.

Mechanical: Preliminary and final mechanical design for the plumbing and HVAC of the building. Site services and fire protection were provided by others. Prepared mechanical design sketches for initial client review and mechanical working drawings for construction. All specifications were provided on drawings. Review of shop drawings for mechanical components. Performed visual site reviews of the mechanical work in progress. Issued engineer sealed report pertaining to the conformance of the work to the IFC drawings indicating satisfactory conformance to us. Energy modelling was not included as part of our scope.

Electrical: Preliminary and final electrical design for the lighting, fire alarm, emergency lighting & exit signage, communications, and power distribution. Prepared electrical design sketches for initial client review and electrical working drawings for construction. All specifications were provided on drawings. Review of shop drawings for electrical components. Performed visual site review of the electrical work in progress.  Issued engineer sealed report pertaining to the conformance of the work to the IFC drawings indicating satisfactory conformance to us.
