Project Description

Boge & Boge (1980) Ltd. provided the Design-Build of the Platform required for Griffin Wheel Transformer #2 Change Out. 

The client required the change out of a 25 ton electrical transformer during a planned maintenance shutdown.   

Boge’s design and construction methodology decreased the transformer change out time from 14 days during a previous outage to 4 days.   

Boge’s scope of services for the project included: 

Site Assessment | Engineering Design & 3D Model of the Platform |  Construction Plan & Methodology including the use of Modular Construction Techniques

Site Preparation work in advance of main shutdown | Construction Management  |  Structural Steel Installation  |  Masonry wall removal and rebuild  | Site Coordination
